Elijah Morrison is a Tiger. The interior offensive lineman out of Hebron Christian Academy in Georgia committed to Clemson on Thursday night, choosing the Tigers over a final five that reads like a who’s who of college football recruiting: Georgia, Auburn, Florida State, and NC State.
Morrison is ranked as a top-25 interior offensive lineman by 247Sports and holds more than 20 scholarship offers. He committed before taking his official visit to Death Valley. That is not a small detail. When a kid in that kind of demand picks your school before the visit, before the campus tour, before the photo ops on the hill, it means the relationship was already sold.
Closing Against the Home Team
Peach State kids who pick Clemson over Georgia tend to raise eyebrows, and for good reason. Kirby Smart has built a pipeline in-state that most programs cannot touch. Morrison had Georgia in his final five, had DawgNation writing about him as a road-grader offensive lineman, and still chose the Tigers. Morrison is the second offensive lineman in the 2027 class, following four-star IOL Carter Jones, who committed earlier this week. Two interior linemen in a class that already features commitments from running back Gary Walker, receiver Jamarvin Simmons, tight ends Carter Blackwell and Nicholas Pollack, and safety Jarrell Chandler.
