Freshman southpaw Justin LeGuernic is set to make his debut start for the Tigers against the Blue Hose. In his inaugural year at Clemson, he has made 4 appearances. As of now, he has not secured a win in his young career, holding a 6.75 ERA in just 2.2 innings pitched, with 1 strikeout to 4 walks. Opponents have a .308 batting average against him in this limited sample size.

LeGuernic has recovered well in the second inning and has stuck out 5 batters so far.

Hinderleider advanced by stealing 2nd and 3rd bases. Blauser then hit a sacrifice fly to right field, bringing Hinderleider home for a run. Clemson now leads PC by a score of 1-0.

3rd inning

TOP 3rd

Clemson made a pitching change, bringing in Ethan Darden. LeGUERNIC pitched for 2 innings, allowing 1 hit, striking out 5, and giving up 3 walks. Darden walked 2 batters, resulting in a run for PC, tying the game at 1-1.

PC Inning Summary: 1 Runs, 0 Hits, 1 Errors, 2 LOB

BOT 3rd

Purify hit a double down the left-field line. Obertop then homered to right center, bringing in 2 runs with Purify scoring. Following that, Wright hit a home run to right field, adding another run. Hinderleider singled to left field, allowing Taylor to advance to second. Taylor then moved to third base on a wild pitch.

Hobson struck out swinging. Lazio grounded out to the third baseman. Wetherington hit a grounder to the second baseman (0-2 count).

BOT 4

Joe Alan in to pitch for Darden

Purify singled up the middle and swiftly stole 2nd base. Obertop followed with a walk. Then, Wright smashed a powerful 3-run homer to left center, bringing in 3 RBIs. Obertop and Purify both crossed the home plate, scoring for the team.

PC gets men on first and second by can't push a run a cross

BOT 8th

Mathes smashes his 4th home run to right-center field. Meanwhile, Blake Wright seals the game with a 2-run walk-off, marking his 3rd homer of the match and 10th of the season.
