Clemson Baseball added on another necessity via the NCAA Transfer Portal, this time it being LHP Michael Sharman who dealt on the mound this past year for the Tennessee Volunteers.
The 23-year-old was one of the most sought out transfer pitchers in this cycle, posting a 3.18 ERA and 25 strikeouts over 22.2 innings pitched. He appeared in 17 games, started three and finished the season with a 3-1 record.

Sharman came out of Etowah High School in the 2021 class and decided to take the Junior College (JUCO) route after being ranked the No. 500 overall prospect, the No. 147 LHP and the No. 113 player in Georgia, per Perfect Game.
The 6-foot-1 pitcher chose Parkland College, located in Illinois, to start his collegiate career, appearing and starting in all 11 games for a total of 56.1 innings pitched. He finished the season with 56 strikeouts and No. 38 nationally in ERA with a 3.04 while compiling a record of 5-2.
His strong start to his career led him to another JUCO, Georgia Highlands College. As a sophomore, he doubled his volume and started in all 16 appearances, finishing with a 12-2 record on the season — tying for No. 3 nationally.
In 93.2 innings pitched, Sharman recorded 101 strikeouts (No. 13 nationally), averaging almost 10 strikeouts per game and a 3.36 ERA.
After stepping up to the Division 1 level this year and consistently shoving from the mound for one of the best teams in NCAA Baseball, Sharman could easily be the most significant missing piece for the Tigers.
