Cannarella, Mahlstedt Named All-Americans by Perfect Game

Stellar seasons from Lucas Mahlstedt and Cam Cannarella have earned them Perfect Game All-Americans status by Perfect Game. Mahlstedt was selected to the First Team, while Cannarella earned a spot on the Third Team — marking the second All-American recognition of his career.

Cannarella became the first Clemson player since Seth Beer to receive All-American honors in multiple seasons. This is the third consecutive year that Clemson has had multiple All-Americans.

Mahlstedt, now the 70th All-American in program history, tied the school record with 15 saves in 2025. He is Clemson’s first All-American relief pitcher in seven years.

He finished his historic season 4-1 with a 3.00 ERA and 61 strikeouts, also being named a finalist for the Stopper-of-the-Year award.

Cannarella, a projected first-round pick in the upcoming MLB Draft, hit .353 with five home runs and 52 RBIs while returning from surgery to repair a torn labrum in 2024.

He finished the season carrying a 44-game on base streak as well as a 22-game hitting streak, during which he hit .421 with four homers.

Over his Clemson career, Cannarella posted a .360 batting average with 23 home runs, 54 doubles, eight triples, and 159 RBIs. He also tallied a .551 slugging percentage and a .453 on-base percentage.
