As summer rolls on in Tigertown, anticipation is building for another electric season of Clemson men’s soccer. After an impressive 2024 campaign that saw the Tigers go 15–3–4 and advance to the NCAA Tournament’s third round, head coach Mike Noonan is reloading his roster and aiming for a deeper postseason run in 2025.
Clemson kicks off its preseason with three exhibition matches: Charlotte at home on August 9, USC Upstate on August 12, and a final tune-up on the road at Georgia State on August 16. The regular season opener comes just five days later in a high-profile away match against Indiana on August 21.
Tigers fans won’t have to wait long to pack Historic Riggs Field—Clemson’s home opener is set for August 26 against in-state rival South Carolina, a fixture that always delivers drama in the Palmetto Series. The Tigers will also face UAB at home on August 29, a match that coincides with Clemson’s spirited First Friday parade.
Clemson’s ACC schedule features a slate of heavyweight matchups. The Tigers will host Pitt, Cal, Duke, and Virginia Tech in conference play while hitting the road to battle SMU, Wake Forest, NC State, and Virginia. Every point will matter in the nation’s most competitive soccer conference, where Clemson looks to defend its reputation as a powerhouse program.
While the team graduated several key players—MLS draftees Joran Gerbet, Titus Sandy Jr., Shawn Smart, and Arthur Duquenne—Clemson returns a strong core of young talent. Noonan, entering his 16th season, has built a program known for both its on-field intensity and academic excellence. Last year, 13 Tigers were named to the ACC All-Academic Team.
Expect the 2025 Tigers to blend grit and skill, with newcomers hungry to make their mark and veterans ready to lead. With Riggs Field as their fortress and championship ambitions as the goal, Clemson men’s soccer is poised for another unforgettable season.
Mark your calendars 🗓️ The Tigers 2025 schedule is set 🐅
