The Tigers went across the country and won a road series at Stanford, finishing it off with an 18-hit, 12-run performance on Sunday. A needed offensive outburst, as the team has to feel like it gave Saturday’s game away to the Cardinal after a stellar start from Michael Sharman. But Sunday was a complete day at the plate and a very positive and strong way to close the weekend.
Clemson got off to a slow start, but from the fourth through 9th it seemed the Tigers scored and scored a bunch. Every starter in the order recorded a hit, and the lineup stayed productive. The at bats were quality, as Coach Bakich preaches and the pressure never really let up.
Bryce Clavon got things started from the leadoff spot with two hits, including a home run. Jack Crighton and Nate Savoie each had three hits and were steady all day. Jacob Jarrell, Jason Fultz Jr., and Jackson Moore added two hits apiece as the production spread throughout the order.
There were not many wasted opportunities. When Clemson reached base, they built on it. It was a balanced performance that showed control and consistency across the lineup.
It is a strong response and a step forward as the season moves along. Winning a series on the road and finishing it with that kind of offensive output matters.

There is one more game in California, as the Tigers will play Santa Clara (13-17; 3-6 West Coast Conference) tonight at Stephen Schott Stadium in Santa Clara. One more before the Tigers welcome a really good North Carolina Tar Heels team at home this weekend.
Clemson Briefly
Bryce Clavon added another home run on Sunday and now has 3 on the season but 2 in the last four games.
Luke Gaffney added a home run and 6 runs batted in against Stanford in the three-game set. It was nice to see him add the long-ball back to his repertoire, but consistent at the plate all weekend long.
Michael Sharman was back to doing his normal things. The team squandered the lead, but Sharman went 7 innings with only 4 hits allowed and 6 strikeouts. Aidan Knaak was good again on Friday night. 5 innings for the Junior with 7 strikeouts over 5 innings.
The team added 12 extra base hits this weekend. It was nice to see the parade of doubles on Sunday, but doubles help this team score runs. So it was nice to see a bunch of them over three games. Hopefully a sign of things to come!
Through 33 games, Clemson is hitting .293 as a team and has tallied 60 doubles, 2 triple and 43 home runs while scoring 202 runs, good for an average of 6.7 runs per game.
The Tigers tallied a season-high 18 hits & got strong pitching from their bullpen in their series-clinching win.

Final Thought
There is something to build on now.
Clemson got what it needed out west. A conference series win against Stanford Cardinal baseball and a finish that showed what this lineup looks like when it is connected from top to bottom. It does not erase the last couple of weeks, but it gives the group something real to carry forward.
That matters with what is coming next.
There is another game tonight against Santa Clara Broncos baseball at Stephen Schott Stadium. First pitch is set for 9PM EST. It is a chance to keep the offense moving and stack another clean performance before heading home.
Then it turns quickly to a big weekend. North Carolina Tar Heels baseball comes to town as one of the top teams in the country, and Clemson now has a little momentum to meet it.
The standard has not changed. The expectations have not changed. What changed this weekend was the execution.
