Dabo opened up his press conference highlighting the incredible energy from the Tigers following their 24-10 victory over Florida State. Despite the 3-5 start from Clemson, Memorial Stadium was sold out going into the November 8 contest. Wade Woodaz believed that such attendance played a huge part in Clemson’s defensive dominance this evening.
“We’re a 3-5 football team, and we sold out. That’s just a testament to Clemson as a whole. (The fans) show up to support us like we’re the number one team in the country. Who wouldn’t wanna show out for them? They brought it why shouldn’t we?”
Woodaz finished with four tackles, two tackles for loss, and one QB hit. The defense forced two massive turnovers, and was able to hold FSU to just three points in the second half. Clemson was 1-4 at home this season, coming off loses to Syracuse, Duke, and SMU. It had been 378 days since the Tigers had beaten a power four school at home, with their last victory coming against Virginia on October 2025. Heading into this game, both the players and the fanbase were aware of the importance of this FSU matchup. If the Tigers weren’t able to take care of business here, they would have needed road wins against both Louisville and South Carolina to clinch a bowl appearance.
Klubnik praised the fans energy as well;
“I’m just thankful for our fans. We’re coming off two tough losses, and to have a fanbase that we have is just so special, and i’m so thankful to be a part of a school that cares so much, through the ups and downs.”
Klubnik had yet another efficient game, completing over 73% of his passes for 221 yards and a touchdown. Cade has been able to get over 200 yards in each of his last seven games, and continued with consistent play. Klubnik also commented on the Tigerwalk turnout before the game, calling it “he most electric Tiger walk I’ve ever been a part of.”
From 2013-2022, Clemson was 59-1 in Death Valley. These last three years haven’t been as incredible, but Clemson was still dangerous at home coming into this season. For the last 17 years the Tigers have seen nothing short of excellence, and the fans have enjoyed a luxurious stretch of both conference and national success. Throughout these near two decades, Dabo has preached loyalty, community, and comradery. These pillars have helped shape a program with a multitude of conference titles, a pair of National Championships, and many playoff appearances. However, even when the team isn’t finding success, these ideals come out through the fanbase. An unwavering passion is displayed through the Clemson community, no matter the teams record. Clemson is a place of passion, with high expectations, heavy emotions, and an unwavering love for the program.
