The USA Today Coaches Top 25 preseason poll is out, and Clemson has earned a strong spot at No. 6 heading into the 2025 season. The poll, part of the weekly US LBM Coaches Poll conducted throughout the season, is voted on by a panel of FBS head coaches selected at random by conference. Each coach submits a Top 25 ballot, with first-place votes worth 25 points and descending to one point for 25th.
Clemson is one of just five teams to receive at least one first-place vote, securing two, a clear sign of national respect for the Tigers’ potential this year.
The Tigers will have a massive opportunity to prove themselves early, opening the season in a Top-10 showdown against No. 9 LSU on Saturday, Aug. 30. Georgia (No. 4) and in-state rival South Carolina (No. 13) also made the preseason rankings, setting the stage for a high-stakes season across the region.
