Clemson Football lands first 2027 QB Commit

Georgia native Kharim Hughley announced earlier this morning that he’ll be committing to Clemson Football just five days after receiving his offer.

The 5-foot-11 signal caller joins Max Brown as the second overall commit and first QB commit in the 2027 recruiting class.

He ranks as the No. 190 overall prospect, the No. 14 QB and the No. 27 player in Georgia, per 247Sports Composite.

Hughley chose the Tigers over Georgia, Florida, Ole Miss, South Carolina and more.

The dual-threat QB shined in his first season on varsity as a sophomore at Gainesville High School, accounting for 2,543 passing yards, 22 touchdowns with only three interceptions in addition to rushing for 108 yards and three touchdowns on the ground.

He led his squad to an impressive 7-4 record, but unfortunately would go onto lose in the first round of the 2024 5A GHSA Playoffs.

Looking at the tape, I think Hughley is a huge pickup for Clemson’s future and can do it all on the field, whether it’s heaving a 60-yard bomb downfield or improvising on a play for a 20-yard scramble gain. His mechanics are advanced and has the talent to finish as one of the best QB prospects in the 2027 class.
