As schools ramp up their recruiting department, Clemson still sits amongst most of their respective competitors, ranking as the No. 6 overall recruiting class with 19 verbal commitments up to this point.
Elite EDGE Dre Quinn was the most recent, committing to Clemson Football over Steve Sarkisian and the Longhorns — who recently sent the Tigers home in the this past season’s College Football Playoffs.
“When I first got there, I felt the home feeling. Dabo is very welcoming. All the players, it feels like I’ve known them for years the way they treated me. They’re big on faith, they’re big on life after football. It just fit me in every aspect.”

One of the most intriguing things to look for with Quinn is that this upcoming season — his senior year — he’ll be transferring to Buford High School to pair up with borderline five-star DL Bryce Perry-Wright, who chooses between Clemson, Texas, Miami and Texas A&M on July 4th.
Both Quinn and Perry-Wright have been crystal-balled to go to the Tigers by multiple insiders, so with the new commitment, it’s safe to say the Tigers might be shooting off some fireworks after the holiday decision.
The 6-foot-4 defensive end has been at Greater Atlanta Christian in Norcross, Georgia the past two years, playing strictly defense as a sophomore then both sides as a junior, leading to his ranking as the No. 263 overall recruit and the No. 26 EDGE in the country, per 247Sports Composite.
He’s definitely more of a project player with a high upside but still rose in the national rankings and has put in impressive work in his two-year varsity tenure.
The Top-30 Georgia prospect only saw the field in four games as a sophomore, accounting for 11 total tackles including two tackles for losses.
He took a huge step heading into his junior year and clearly the coaches thought the same as he started at tight end and defensive end. Offensively, he caught seven passes for 129 receiving yards, averaging 18.4 yards per reception. Defensively, Quinn accounted for 42 tackles, 9.5 tackles for losses, two and a half sacks, a forced fumble and fumble recovery.
