South Carolina native Kentavion Anderson commits to Clemson Football

After a dominant start to the 2026 recruiting cycle, Clemson Football and Dabo Swinney landed one of their biggest prospects in the class — Kentavion Anderson.

The Tigers now have Kaden Gebhardt and Anderson coming in next year, giving high hopes and promises for the future Clemson secondary as both are top-20 nationally at their respective position.

The South Carolina native was born and raised a Tiger fan, sitting only two counties over from Clemson in Spartanburg and has hinted at his possible commitment to the program for months now via social media.

Anderson was even crystal-balled to Clemson back in March by two Gamecock Insiders and a Kentucky Insider, per 247Sports.

It’s safe to say that this commitment was a long-time coming from an outstanding in-state talent such as Anderson.

The 6-foot-2 hybrid safety is amongst the cream of the crop in the class of 2026 — especially in the Palmetto State — ranking as the No. 119 overall player, the No. 10 safety and the No. 2 recruit in South Carolina, per 247Sports.

This makes him the second-highest recruit in Clemson’s recruiting cycle, just below OL Chancellor Barclay, who committed back in March of this year.

Anderson plays for Dorman High School in Roebuck, South Carolina, the same school that has produced Clemson Basketball legend PJ Hall and former Clemson WR Adam Humphries.

The 185-pound prospect is a pure athlete running a 4.39 40-yard dash and recording a 10’8″ broad jump, demonstrating both speed and explosiveness. This elite athleticism enables him to cover ground quickly and react swiftly to developing plays. Additionally, his football IQ stands out as he anticipates offensive moves incredibly well, positioning himself to make consistent highlight plays.

Not to mention his ability to play multiple positions — including strong safety, outside linebacker, and nickelback — allows him to be effective in various defensive schemes.
