Memphis @ Florida State – Noon

Florida State is having a challenging start to their season, sitting at 0-2 after an early bye week and back-to-back losses in the ACC. The Seminoles are looking to secure their first win against Memphis, with the game being a significant one for head coach Mike Norvell, as he faces his former team. Despite their struggles, Florida State is favored by 5.5 points over Memphis. Given these factors, I predict that Florida State will manage to turn things around and secure a narrow victory against Memphis.

Memphis 24, Florida State 27

24 Boston College @ 6 Missouri 12:45 pm

In the matchup between No. 24 Boston College and No. 6 Missouri, it’s understandable to see why you might think Boston College won’t be intimidated by the home-field advantage Missouri holds. Missouri is hosting their first-ranked opponent of the season, which could add pressure to perform. While Missouri is favored, Boston College has shown they can compete at a high level, and the game could be closer than expected. I do think that Missouri will win, but they might not cover the spread.

4 Alabama @ Wisconsin – Noon

Alabama’s recent struggle against USF, where they only pulled away in the fourth quarter, might have been a wake-up call for the team. Heading into Camp Randall Stadium, known for its challenging atmosphere, Alabama will likely be motivated to prove themselves and avoid another close call. Historically, Wisconsin has struggled against top-10 nonconference opponents at home, with a record of 1-9 in such games. Given these factors, I believe Alabama will come out strong and secure a victory against Wisconsin.

16 LSU @ South Carolina Noon

No. 16 LSU and South Carolina, LSU is looking to assert their dominance in the SEC. Despite South Carolina’s strong start to the season, with a 2-0 record and a recent win against Kentucky, LSU’s powerhouse offense will be a significant challenge for the Gamecocks. South Carolina’s elite defensive line will need to step up to contain LSU’s attack. However, given LSU’s recent form and their motivation to climb the conference standings, I believe LSU will come out on top. My prediction is that LSU will win with a score of 31-21, as they manage to overcome the tough environment at South Carolina.

16 LSU 45, South Carolina 17

Tulane @ 15 Oklahoma 3:30 pm

Tulane and No. 15 Oklahoma, the Sooners are hosting the Green Wave in what is their final tune-up before entering SEC play. Oklahoma, ranked 15th in the AP Top 25, is expected to leverage its home-field advantage and strong roster to secure a victory. While Tulane is a capable team, the depth and talent of Oklahoma, combined with their motivation to maintain their ranking, should see them through this game. I predict Oklahoma will win comfortably.

Memphis @ Florida State – Noon

The Seminoles have been the biggest disappointment in college football so far this season. A kick in the mouth by Georgia Tech is Ireland and a bad loss against BC at home is tough to be worse, and I think it is only up from here. A bye week certainly helped as well. Florida State wins, and covers, at home to bounce back.

Florida State 27, Memphis 17

24 Boston College @ 6 Missouri – 12:45 pm

I’ve been impressed with the Eagles so far under Bill O’ Brien, who has revolutionized the role of QB Thomas Castellanos so far over the first two games of the season. Unfortunately, Boston College is entering an absolute buzzsaw of a team in Missouri, playing in their home stadium as well. The Eagles will be a great team this season, but will take their first loss of the season single-handedly.

Missouri 38, Boston College 20

4 Alabama @ Wisconsin – Noon

Alabama is a team that is going to consistently get better and better under new HC Kalen DeBoer, and he will do it again on Saturday against Wisconsin. The Badgers are a great team, but I think the talent of the Tide will overpower them come the second half. Jalen Milroe plays a great game and continues his Heisman-hopeful season.

Alabama 42, Wisconsin 20

16 LSU @ South Carolina – Noon

It’s the most exciting game in the South Carolina capital in the Beamer era, as College GameDay will travel to Gamecock Park to recognize the two SEC foes. I was incredibly surprised with the Gamecocks last weekend against Kentucky, and their defense is a lot better than many people think. It’s going to be one of the most exciting crowds at Williams-Brice Stadium on Saturday afternoon, and the Gamecocks will shock the world in a classic.

South Carolina 24, LSU 20

Tulane @ 15 Oklahoma – 3:30 pm

The Green Wave almost stole everyone’s hearts last weekend with a close loss over Kansas State at home, and travel to Norman to face Brent Venables’ Sooners, who are banged up and haven’t had great wins so far. With the Tulane tough loss last week, the Sooners defensive line, and the need to continue to roll going into SEC play, I’m going to take Oklahoma in this one. Very, very close, though.

Oklahoma 28, Tulane 27

Memphis @ Florida State – Noon

Memphis has blown out their last two opponents; North Alabama and Troy. But, with how bad Florida State has been playing to start the season and how close they’ve been to winning both of their first two games; I say they take this one at home and can finally put one in the win column.

Florida State 28, Memphis 14

24 Boston College @ 6 Missouri – 12:45 pm

Both sides of the ball have been dominant to start the season for Boston College, especially with Bill O’Brien now being their head coach. However, I think Missouri just has too much offensive firepower for Boston College to contain. With Brady Cook, Luther Burden III, and Theo Wease Jr. being out on the field, I don’t see how they can game plan to stop them. I do think if Boston College’s secondary is able to step up and find a way to hold the trio to low numbers, they could easily take this game away.

Missouri 31, Boston College 17

4 Alabama @ Wisconsin – Noon

Alabama’s gonna take down Wisconsin this weekend handily. HC DeBoer’s coaching and schemes have been used extremely well since his arrival, and he’s great at making adjustments during the game. Alabama’s defense is fierce, and their offense has some serious playmakers who can score at will like true-freshman Ryan Williams. Wisconsin’s good, but they’ll have a tough time keeping up with Bama’s speed and skill this season, especially with how good possible heisman candidate, Jalen Milroe, has looked to start the year.

Alabama 45, Wisconsin 17

16 LSU @ South Carolina – Noon

LSU’s gonna crush South Carolina for College Gameday. Their offense has looked increasingly good and can light up the scoreboard in no time, which we saw in their recent loss against USC. Brian Kelly’s got the Tigers rolling and they’re playing with some serious swagger. South Carolina’s defense won’t stand a chance against LSU’s playmakers, and their offense isn’t nearly good enough to keep up. Basically, South Carolina’s in for a long day, and LSU’s gonna make sure they remember it.

LSU 38, South Carolina 21

Tulane @ 15 Oklahoma – 3:30 pm

After Tulane’s close loss against Kansas State last weekend, I think they bounce back and upset Oklahoma. Tulane’s offense was firing on all cylinders against the No. 14 team in College Football and I think that continues into this week just at a lesser rate. While Oklahoma’s strong suit is their defense, I don’t think Jackson Arnold and the rest of the Sooners’ offense will be able to keep up with the Green Wave.

Memphis @ Florida State – Noon

An old Teacher vs. Mentor game as Mike Norvell faces his last stop, Memphis coming in reeling, but off of a bye week. DJ Uiagalelei is still reportedly going to start for Novell and the Seminoles, and there’s hundreds of thousands reasons why he will be. FSU lost one of their backs. Not sure DJU is really the issue, but the lack of wide receivers certainly doesn’t help. I think Memphis wins here, and I’m not sure why.

Memphis 24, Florida State 13

24 Boston College @ 6 Missouri – 12:45 pm

The ACC had a nice win against SEC foe last week when Cal beat Auburn. However, the ACC has not fared well against the mighty SEC in the early part of the season and I’m not sure Bill O’Brien or Thomas Castellanos can carry the Eagles to victory in this one. I do think they’ll slow the game down to try to halter Brady Cook, Luther Burden and company. Not sure they’ll be able to slow it down for a slog-fest, so give me Mizzou.

Missouri 27, Boston College 10

4 Alabama @ Wisconsin – Noon

Bama…big!

Alabama 41, Wisconsin 6

16 LSU @ South Carolina – Noon

The feathered folk in the midlands are starting to crow about their team coming off a big victory against Kentucky on the road last week. The offense still is not even remotely impressive, but truth be told, that defense really is. On the flip side, LSU “struggled” with Nicholls State last week (won by 4 touchdowns), and are still not happy with the play of the defense. This one might be fun. Good on good, bad on bad. What gives?

LSU 27, South Carolina 24

Tulane @ 15 Oklahoma – 3:30 pm

We love Brent Venables for what he did here at Clemson. But he’s a few years removed from taking over at Oklahoma, and his schedule is brutal. You know how you know that? Because one of their “gimme” games is Tulane, a team that has been fighting for the top team in the group of 5 for the last handful of seasons while Head Coach Willie Fritz (now at Houston) was there. Jackson Arnold was supposed to take that next step this season. We haven’t seen it yet. However, I think depth wins this game.

Florida State comes off a bye week hungry for a win and gets it done against Memphis.

Two great defenses collide but Missouri has enough offense to pull ahead for the victory.

Boston College 13, Missouri 27

4 Alabama @ Wisconsin Noon

This game will be close at halftime but Alabama takes it over in the second half.

Alabama 33, Wisconsin 20

16 LSU @ South Carolina Noon

LSU moves the ball consistently during this game keeping South Carolina’s defense on the field.

LSU 38, South Carolina 14

Tulane @ 15 Oklahoma 3:30pm

Oklahoma starts strong and never gives Tulane a chance to comeback in this one.
