The Clemson vs N.C. State game now has a designated start time.
For the second time in their first three games, the Tigers will kick off at 12 noon with the game being televised on ABC. This will be the ACC opener for Clemson football, with both teams currently standing at 1-1 overall. The Tigers lost to Georgia in the season opener before boat racing Appalachian State right out of Death Valley last Saturday, 66-20.
For the Clemson football program, they moved up three spots in the AP poll this week to #22 following their convincing win over the Mountaineers. The Wolfpack, though, took it on the chin, losing to Tennessee 51-10. That loss drops N.C. State out of the top 25 of the AP poll and perhaps led to the early start time with the game no longer being a ranked match-up.
Clemson will look to pick up where it left off against App. State when it rolled up 712 total yards behind a career night from junior quarterback Cade Klubnik who completed 24 of 26 passes for 378 yards and accounted for seven total touchdowns.
Through two games, the Tigers are averaging 34.5 points per game and allowing 27. The Wolfpack are scoring at a 24-point clip while giving up an average of 36.
