Diondre Overton will be remembered fondly by Clemson football fans as a sure-handed wide receiver who helped the Tigers win two national championships during the 2016 and 2018 seasons.

Overton, a favorite of fans and teammates alike, was tragically killed during a shooting incident on Friday night, September 6. News of his passing broke on Saturday morning. He was 26 years old.

Overton, who played for the Tigers from 2016-2019, recorded 777 yards and 7 touchdowns during his Clemson career.
Details on the incident that claimed Diondre Overton’s life are still emerging, but former teammates have already showed an outpouring of support for their friend, brother, and former teammate. It is a tragic loss for the Clemson community, and Diondre will no doubt be greatly missed.
