Clemson’s class of 2025 defensive core is getting increasingly versatile as this offseason goes on, adding speed and athleticism to their backers.
The Tigers landed their first linebacker commit of the class, Logan Anderson, this past Friday afternoon.
Anderson is a rising prospect, as he was recently awarded four-star status in June of this year. He’s ranked the No. 407 national prospect, No. 40 linebacker prospect, and the No. 19 prospect in Alabama, per 247Sports.
The six-foot-two, 218-pound linebacker received an offer from the school just last month but is in Tiger Town this Friday for the All-in Cookout and seems to know already what he wants for his future, choosing Clemson over Georgia, Ole Miss, and Auburn, among others.
“I like the whole coaching staff. I like what they stand for. They stand for what you want to stand for … the right things — God and family, and it’s a good thing that they don’t take kids in the transfer portal. That’s a big offer for me.”

Adding Anderson to this Clemson defense for years to come is a huge get for the Tigers, as he can add speed and versatility to that side of the ball. He’s a former safety who transitioned to linebacker, recording a 4.5 40-yard dash, 35.9-inch vertical, and a 10-foot+ broad jump.
As a sophomore, Anderson rushed for over 1,800 yards out of the backfield yet suffered a season-ending knee injury in the playoffs, sidelining him as he watched his team make a run and win a state championship.
The following year, he bounced back harder than ever, leading Fyffe High School to a 14-1 record and its second consecutive Alabama 2A state title. He had dominant performances left and right throughout the playoffs as he ran for 312 yards and eight touchdowns on 28 carries in the third round and set a championship game record with 256 rushing yards and four touchdowns on 34 carries. Not to mention, he poured in six tackles on the defensive side in the state title as well.
He finished his junior year with 265 carries, 2,864 rushing yards (school record), and 46 touchdowns, earning himself ASWA All-State honors at the running back position.
While he’s a dominant force on the ground, he is still a man amongst boys at the inside linebacker position. Anderson squats 460 pounds, benches 305 pounds, and cleans 350 pounds; not only does he have the speed, but he also has the size to make an impact for this Clemson defense.
