Clemson Scores Mound Talent in Dan Margolies for Class of 2025

Dan Margolies, a senior at Cheshire Academy, has announced his commitment to play Division I baseball at Clemson University. Margolies, a left-handed pitcher who also plays first base and outfield, will join the Clemson Tigers for the 2026 season under the guidance of head coach Erik Bakich.

Cheshire Academy, located in Cheshire, Connecticut, has a strong baseball program that consistently produces college-level athletes. The academy’s baseball team currently has 17 out of 24 roster players committed to college programs.

Margolies’ versatility on the field has been a key factor in his success. His ability to play multiple positions, including pitcher, first base, and outfield, makes him a valuable asset to any team.

To gain exposure and improve his rankings, Margolies participated in events such as the Perfect Game Showcase. These showcases provide high school athletes with opportunities to demonstrate their skills in front of college coaches and scouts.

Clemson University, a member of the Atlantic Coast Conference, offers a comprehensive environment for student-athletes. The university’s facilities include Doug Kingsmore Stadium, a 6,272-seat baseball stadium, and the Nieri Family Student-Athlete Enrichment Center, which provides academic support services.

Margolies’ commitment to Clemson University highlights his individual talent and the effectiveness of Cheshire Academy’s baseball program in developing collegiate-level athletes. As he prepares to join the Clemson Tigers in 2026, Margolies will look to make an impact on the field and contribute to the team’s success in the competitive world of Division I college baseball.
