Former Clemson center PJ Hall has found a new home in the NBA on Thursday night, signing a two-way contract with the Denver Nuggets following the 2024 NBA Draft. It was first reported by Harrison Wind of DNVR Sports and confirmed by Shams Charania with The Athletic.
Hall was not selected in the total 57 picks in the draft, but was off the board early as an undrafted free agent following the second round, joining Virginia’s Ryan Dunn and Creighton’s Trey Alexander as the Nuggets’ draft class of 2024 so far.
Most importantly, Hall reunites with his former teammate and roommate, Hunter Tyson, who was drafted to Denver in the second round of the NBA Draft last year. Tyson, who spent time in both the G League and the NBA in his rookie season, will have a familiar face with him at the highest level in the sport.
Hall averaged a career-high in points in his final season with the Tigers, scoring 18.3 points while adding 6.4 rebounds and 1.4 blocks.
While the Nuggets only had one draft pick in this draft following deals made during the event, they had a “1st round grade” on him, getting a player that they wanted following the draft for a better price.
Up next for Hall will be the NBA Summer League in Las Vegas, where he will look to showcase his skills at the next level for the first time, most likely playing alongside Tyson as well. The Summer League will take place between July 12-22.
