Clemson Softball’s Alia Logoleo Honored with All-America Award

It’s almost award season in college athletics, and one Tiger has already gotten her first for the 2024 year.

Alia Logoleo of the Clemson Softball team has been awarded the 2024 All-American Athlete Award from the NSCA. The NSCA All-American Athlete Award recognizes individuals’ athletic accomplishments and their dedication to strength and conditioning. These athletes’ determination to improve on athletics while maintaining academic prominence is a great model for all student-athletes, and Logoleo has stood out in this regard from her work on the field, in the weight room, and in the classroom.

The National Strength and Conditioning Association is a non-profit organization advancing strength and conditioning as a practice and profession through education, research, and networking. With over 60,000 members and certified professionals worldwide, it offers certifications, continuing education, job placement, and networking opportunities.

Over the past five years, Alia has been the undisputed standard in the weight room for Clemson Softball, leading by example and instilling a culture of dedication and attention to detail among her teammates. Her exceptional work ethic extends beyond mandatory lifts, as she actively participates in voluntary summer oncampus training and in-season pre-competition priming sessions. As the captain of the defense at shortstop, Alia has played a crucial role in securing back-to-back Regional Championships for Clemson. Her on-field prowess is reflected in the recognition of three All-ACC honors. Off the field, she shines as a three-time Academic All-ACC student, graduate of Clemson’s prestigious Tiger Leadership Academy, and member of the inaugural Power cohort, demonstrating her commitment to academic and leadership excellence. Additionally, Alia’s extensive work in Student-Athlete Development over three years accentuate her holistic approach to professional and athletic growth. Completing her Undergraduate Degree in Parks, Recreation, and Tourism Management and achieving a Master’s Degree in Human Resources Development, Alia’s multidimensional achievements make her an
exceptional athlete and a commendable individual both on and off the softball field.

Logoleo is hitting at .300 batting average in her storied Clemson career, including a .331 average during 2024’s campaign. With 7 home runs this year, the Tiger third baseman (and short stop) has hit 40 home runs overall. In the 232 games she has played, she’d start 223 of them. She’ll look to build on her career headed into the end of the season, starting with Clemson Softball’s trip to Louisville Kentucky this weekend (first game Friday at 6pm on ACCNX).
