In a tightly contested matchup, the No. 8/9 Clemson Softball team fell short against No. 5/3 Georgia, losing 2-1 in extra innings. Despite both teams tallying six hits each, the Tigers struggled, leaving 13 runners on base during the eight-inning game.

Game Details

The Bulldogs secured their first run in the bottom of the third inning, taking a 1-0 lead. Despite Clemson’s efforts, including loading the bases in multiple innings, they couldn’t capitalize until the top of the sixth. Clark’s RBI single tied the game at 1-all.

Extra Innings Drama

With no scoring in the seventh, the game extended to the eighth. Oda reached base for the Tigers, but Georgia capitalized on an opportunity, scoring the winning run.
