Clemson Football Excited to Release Game Day Designations for 2024 Season

Clemson football has released their game day designations for 2024 home football games at Death Valley.

With spring practice right around the corner, football will be kicking off again in a little over six months. Now, Tiger fans have something to look forward to and can mark their calendars as Clemson University has revealed the special occasions which will take place on each home date.

September 7 vs Appalachian State (Reunion Day and First Responders Day)

Clemson’s first home game will take place on Saturday, September 7 against Appalachian State. That tilt against the Mountaineers will carry a double distinction as both the Clemson football reunion game and First Responders Day.

September 21 vs NC State (Family Day and Land Grant Day)

September 21 will see Clemson take on rival NC State and that game will serve as Family Day and Land Grant Day, celebrating the land grant that served as the springboard for Clemson University itself. It will be a fun-filled day for entire families to come out and cheer on the Tigers.

September 28 vs Stanford (Homecoming)

The third home game, on September 28, will not only see Clemson play Stanford on the gridiron for the first time since 1986, it will also be Homecoming at Clemson University. Homecoming is one of the most special weekends of the year, as alumni from all across the country will return to their university. It promises to be a unique and nostalgic weekend all around.

October 19 vs Virginia (Clemson+ and Breast Cancer Awareness Day)

Clemson will take on Virginia on October 19, and again, it will be a dual distinction day at Death Valley. The Tigers will be promoting their own streaming network, Clemson+, but most importantly, it will be Breast Cancer Awareness Day. Clemson University has always been at the forefront of promoting awareness and support for those who are afflicted by that terrible disease, so it is a game that fans will want to mark down as an important opportunity to attend and help further those efforts.

November 2 vs Louisville (Hall of Fame Day)

Hall of Fame Day will take place on November 2 as Clemson will take on the 2023 ACC runner-up Louisville Cardinals. Clemson University will welcome back to Death Valley its football hall of fame members and those who have made Clemson football one of the most indelibly prominent programs in the country over the years. A great time will be had by all honoring the Clemson legends who have carved a path to success for all present and future Tigers to follow.

November 23 vs The Citadel (Military Appreciation Day)

Military Appreciation Day will see the Tigers take on their in-state brethren, the Citadel Bulldogs. Clemson’s purple uniforms are synonymous with the event, and it is always one of the most special events of the season. Clemson has a long-standing tradition of honoring the servicemen and women of our great nation, and that should ring true once again in 2024.

November 30 vs South Carolina (Senior Day and IPTAY Day)

Finally, November 30 will see South Carolina return to Death Valley, and that game, of course, will be Senior Day. Clemson’s seniors will run down the hill for the final time and fans at Death Valley will be able to give them a raucous send-off. The game will also be a recognition of IPTAY, the Clemson booster organization that is one of the most successful collegiate fundraising entities in the country.

Clemson football has a longstanding tradition of supporting their alumni and championing wonderful causes with their on-field and off the field efforts. The 2024 football season is shaping up to be an exciting campaign with much to look forward to over the Tigers’ seven home games.
