Clemson Softball Gears Up for Exciting 2024 Season

Clemson’s softball team is poised for an exciting 2024 season, with a strong roster bolstered by returning players and strategic additions. The team welcomes back 15 letter winners from the 2023 roster, including three players who were All-ACC selections. Additionally, the Tigers have added two impactful transfers, Alex Brown and Lindsey Garcia, to further strengthen the lineup.

In the 2023 season, Clemson showcased an impressive .313 batting average, with standout performances led by Valerie Cagle boasting an outstanding .469 batting average. The team also demonstrated a solid .409 on-base percentage and a formidable .527 slugging percentage.

On the pitching front, Clemson’s staff remains formidable with the return of every pitcher from the 2023 season, supplemented by the addition of talented freshmen Olivia Duncan and Julia Knowler. In the previous season, the Tigers boasted an impressive 1.59 ERA across 392 innings of work, accompanied by an impressive 318 strikeouts.

As the program enters its fifth season, Clemson is set to face off against new opponents, including Missouri State, Oregon, and Missouri, marking the first encounters with these teams. Additionally, the team will renew rivalries, facing Indiana for the first time since 2020 and taking on Liberty for the third consecutive season.

Excitement is building for Clemson’s home games in 2024, with single-game tickets now available for purchase. Fans have the option to buy tickets online or through limited walkup sales at the gate on game days.
