Clemson Football picked up commitments from two of the nation’s best offensive linemen during its annual elite retreat junior day event. The pledges are the first big recruiting windfall for new offensive line coach Matt Luke.
Brayden Jacobs
Brayden Jacobs, from Alpharetta, GA (Buford HS), was the first to pledge. Jacobs is a consensus 4-star prospect on every major recruiting outlet and rated as high as the 103rd overall player in the class and 12th best offensive tackle on Rivals. Clemson landed Jacobs over other suitors such as Alabama, Georgia, LSU, and Tennessee.
Jaylan Beckley
Next to commit was 4-star Jaylan Beckley from Addison, TX (Trinity Christian Academy). Clemson won out over his other finalists including Georgia, Florida State, LSU, Oklahoma, and Texas. Beckley said in a post on his X account (formerly Twitter), that he kept being drawn back to Clemson.
“My family and I have been praying for quite a while, and all signs keep pointing back to one place,” he wrote. Clemson family, I promise to give 110% to this journey with you! All glory to God, it’s a great day to be a Tiger!”
Jaylan Beckley
With the commitments of Jacobs and Beckley, Clemson’s 2025 recruiting class is up to 10 pledges and ranked third overall by 247Sports.
