Clemson’s 2024 Recruiting Class: Defensive Backs Tavoy Feagin and Corian Gipson

 For this installment of the 2024 Clemson recruiting class breakdown, we will be talking about the cornerback position. The Tigers landed two top cornerbacks in the 2024 class. 4-star Tavoy Feagin and 4-star Corian Gipson.

Tavoy Feagin

Feagin is a Swiss army knife when it comes to the defensive back position. He plays corner as well as safety. He was the first commitment for the Tigers in the 2024 class committing in November of last year. The Carrollwood Days prospect hails from Tampa, Florida, and his father Michael played defensive back at Alabama while coach Dabo Swinney was an assistant coach for the Crimson Tide.

Tavoy totaled eight interceptions in a senior campaign. He possesses great ball-hawking ability and he is also not afraid to break off his assignment and make a tackle. He is an instant-impact type of player, and he will make a lot of plays for the Tigers while in a Clemson uniform. Feagin currently sits as the 278th-best player in the country and the 21st-best cornerback according to 247 Sports for the 2024 class.

Corian Gipson

Corian Gipson is another top prospect that has been landed under cornerbacks coach Mike Reed. The Lancaster, Texas product has an impressive list of over 40 offers. He committed to Clemson in July over schools like Texas and TCU Gibson has good size and elite coverage ability no matter where he is on the field.

Gipson will no doubt make an immediate impact on the Tigers as soon as he sets foot on campus. He is ranked as the 75th-best player in the country and the 6th-ranked cornerback in the class. He is adding to an already stacked cornerback room for the 2024 season.
