Clemson received a verbal pledge from one of the top wide receivers in the 2025 recruiting class on Saturday.
Woodbridge, VA wideout Carleton “Juju” Preston, a speedy slot receiver, committed to the Tigers over Colorado, Kansas, Maryland, Michigan, and Penn State among other finalists for his services. He earned First Team All-Region honors this season and averaged 22.3 yards per catch. He had a tally of 893 yards on 40 receptions and nine touchdowns per his most recent stats posted to MaxPreps.
While Preston is not ranked in the current 247 and ESPN prospect rankings, his offer sheet offers insight into how highly sought after he is. Clemson has a reputation for finding diamonds in the rough, and Preston might very well be the next in a long line of under-the-radar signings that have turned to gold for the Tigers.
Preston received his offer on November 18th after visiting Clemson for the final home game against North Carolina.
