The Clemson football program is losing another contributor to the transfer portal. Tight end Sage Ennis announced his intention to transfer on Thursday morning.
Ennis, who joined the Tigers as part of the 2020 recruiting class, has played the first four years of his career at Clemson and will play his fifth season as a graduate transfer.
Ennis has played in 41 total games during his tenure at Clemson, totaling six receptions for 77 yards and no touchdowns. Used primarily as a blocking tight end, Sage is coming off the best season of his career, catching three passes for 52 yards.
“I would first like to thank God for providing me with the opportunity to compete as a student-athlete at Clemson University,” posted Ennis on X (formerly Twitter). I am very grateful for all of the friendships, relationships, and mentorships I have developed during my time here.”
