What a week it has been for Clemson freshmen Tyler Brown and defensive end T.J. Parker.
On Monday, the two freshman phenoms received ACC honors for the week behind their strong contributions to Clemson’s big win over Syracuse on Saturday.
Parker received the ACC Defensive Lineman of the Week while Brown took home two, being the ACC Rookie of the Week as well as ACC Reciever of the Week.
The accolades come after huge games from the two first-years. On the offensive side, Brown continued to emerge as quarterback Cade Klubnik’s top receiver, hauling in nine receptions for 153 yards on Saturday.
On the other side of the ball, it was Parker’s time to shine. The defensive end had five tackles, two being for a loss, as well as two sacks on the day.
The two continue to be rising stars for the Tigers, with both receiving comparisons that put them with recent Clemson greats. Brown has received comparisons to Sammy Watkins and Justyn Ross, while Parker has been compared to recent departure Myles Murphy through their first season.
Brown and Parker will be given more snaps and time on the field as the season goes on, with Clemson’s matchup against Wake Forest this Saturday giving them another chance to star for one of college football’s best in just a few months since beginning their collegiate careers. The future is bright in Death Valley.
