EXCLUSIVE: An Inside Look At Clemson Commit Nolan Hauser

We were able to sit down with Clemson commit and future kicker, Nolan Hauser. Nolan goes a little bit in depth to give the fans a better idea of who he is and what he is bringing to the table when he gets to campus. Nolan is listed as one of the top kickers in the country for the 2024 cycle and has an absolute cannon for a leg. Nolan is also the kickoff guy for his high school team where he boomed 75 kickoffs for touchbacks.

The Clemson commit has been very active on twitter with recruiting other players to join this 2024 class and make it a very special one. He is in other players’ ears and trying to get them on board.

Nolan is a rising senior at Hough High School. In the 2022 season, Hauser went 20 for 25 on field goals where his longest was made from 49 yards. The star kicker was also 57 for 57 on extra-point attempts in the 2022 season. Nolan Hauser also holds the NCHSAA record for most career field goals. Hauser is listed as a 5 star kicker by Chris Sailer Kicking. Houser is listed as the number 1 kicker in the country and stands at 6’ 170lbs. MAXPREPS and Kohl’s Kicking both have him listed as a 1st team high school All-American.

When Nolan gets to campus he will likely start off his career with a redshirt year behind Robert Gunn III, but Clemson should be in a very good place with its kicking game for years to come.

Q&A With Nolan Hauser:

What Made Clemson The Perfect Fit For You?

“Clemson was the perfect fit for me because it really had the best family feel to it. What Coach Swinney is doing for the program is also something I really want to be a part of. Clemson doesn’t just focus on football, it focuses on the education and life skills that you will need after football which my family and I really think is important.”

When Did You Get Into Kicking, And What Got You Started With It?

Clemson Commit Nolan Hauser

“I got into kicking around 11 years old. I played different positions in pop warner and we needed a kicker and since I played soccer I just started kicking for the team.”

Recruiting For Kickers Is A Little Different Than Other Positions, Detail A Little Bit Of What that Process Looks Like For Us:

“The recruitment for kickers is very different from other positions because you have to choose the college camps you go to carefully. Most colleges will only scholarship 1 kicker every 2-3 years.”

What Do You Plan On Majoring In When You Get To Clemson?

“I want to major in Business Marketing.”

Without Saying Names, What Can The Fans Expect From This ‘24 Class?

“Clemson fans can expect the 2024 class to be one of the best classes that Clemson Football has ever seen.”

What Is The One Thing You Want Clemson Fans To Know About You?

“At the end of my Junior year I broke the all time North Carolina state record for number of field goals in a career and I am 3 field goals away from beating the all time national record.”

Just How Strong Is Your Leg? What Are Some Of The Longest Field Goals You have Made?

“My longest in a game is 49 yards, but it will be a lot longer this year. My longest in practice is 68 yards”
